d Fees for consultation only are hourly at $50 per hour; travel time is gratis if the site is within 10 miles of Seattle city limits. d Fees for complete designs are a combination of itemized bids for specified design phases and an hourly rate for work beyond that included in the bid. Bids are based on size of site and the complexity of design. The number of hours for each phase of the design will be computed based on these two parameters. An hourly rate of $50 per hour will be used to compute the bids. Itemized bid components typically include: d Initial meeting: Gratis. Meet potential client and gather information on the scope of the work 
and their goals for the garden. d Site measurement and analysis. d At least two conceptual design options. d Refinement of selected design option. d Planting plan and schedule (list with common and scientific plant name, purchase size, quantity). d Specifications for all hardscape components. d Prints and reproductions – cost plus 10%. d Referrals for all phases of construction. Optional bid items: d Lighting plans. d Construction details. d Detailed criteria for designation as a backyard wildlife refuge. d Specialized garden features such as rain garden, water features, green roofs. Hourly components charged at $50 per hour: d Optional further refinements to design. d Additional meetings. d Monitor construction and act as liaison with contractor. d Assist with purchase of top quality plants, including accompaniment on shopping trips to nurseries. d Additional visits after construction completion to address client concerns.
